It would be useful if Trebble was also available as a desktop or mobile application. The benefits of working offline by using an app include being able to work with large files more easily, avoiding interruptions from a poor internet connection, and better privacy.
I've used websites to do editing work online in the past, but from my experience, they struggle to handle large files for long. They might handle a large file for a few minutes, but then crash and the page automatically refreshes. Also, if the internet connection becomes slow or stops working, then our work becomes interrupted as a result. I'd like to avoid these types of problems in Trebble, because I don't want to lose my work.
One other option that may be useful in avoiding some of these problems is to offer a tool that automatically splits large audio & video files into smaller parts. Then download all of these parts together as a ZIP file. The point of this would be to slice the file into smaller pieces that are more manageable and easier for Trebble's website to handle. The file should be sliced & saved in a way where the individual slices can quickly & seamlessly be joined together again in a video/audio editing program.
Additionally, it would help if there was a tool where we can upload all of the file slices at once, and join them into a single large file again.
These are just some alternatives that I thought could help with a few of the problems which may arise when working with large files online.
However, a desktop or mobile app would also be very useful in this case, because it will allow us to work offline, and it's usually a more stable way of working with large files.
